Dell’s most powerful mobile workstation with a screen size of 15.6 inches is the Precision 7560. This model comes with Intel’s 11th generation Xeon and Core processors, NVIDIA workstation-grade GPUs up to the 16GB RTX A5000, up to 128GB of ECC memory, and space for three NVMe drives. Its best screen has a resolution of UHD (38402160) and a colour rating of 100% Adobe RGB.
The 7560 also comes with a standard three-year warranty and top-notch security options like Windows, Ubuntu, and Red Hat. Overall, the Precision 7560 is a good alternative to the Lenovo ThinkPad P15 Gen 2 and the HP ZBook Fury 15 G8, which are its two main competitors. Even with corporate or fleet discounts, it won’t be cheap, but if you want the most performance possible in a 15.6-inch laptop, the Precision 7560 is a good choice.

Dell Precision 7560 review: Design
The Precision 7560 Workstation has a lot of power that will more than likely please architecture, enterprise, IT, visual design, and Adobe Suite users. It did well enough on our TechRadar tests. For example, it got a score of 7102 on the PCMark 10 Home Test.
From everyday tasks like browsing the web and watching videos, everything worked exactly as expected in terms of specs. You can get this laptop from its official website.
Dell Precision 7560 review: Display
Dell Optimizer, which is at the top of this software package, offers system analytics and optimization for audio, applications, network connection, and power. It also has options for proximity sensors, which let users quickly lock their computers when they need to leave the room. If facial recognition is turned on, this works with the built-in camera. Video and photo editors can also use Dell Premier colour to change the way their displays look.
Dell Precision 7560 review: Keyboard and touchpad
Only a few design quirks keep me from giving the keyboard a high recommendation: It has two levels of backlighting, a quick typing feel, and a handy numeric keypad. However, it follows the annoying HP practise of putting the cursor arrow keys in a row instead of the correct inverted T, with hard-to-press, half-height up and down arrows stacked between full-size left and right arrows.
Dell Precision 7560 review: Graphics Tests
Under the bottom panel is also where the battery is. The 95WHr long life cycle version in our review unit stands out because, like the rest of the notebook, it comes with a three-year warranty.
If you want to charge quickly, you can also get a 95WHr Express Charge battery. With our review unit’s powerful RTX A4000 graphics card, either 95WHr battery is a must-have upgrade over the base 68WHr battery.
Dell Precision 7560 review: Battery Life
We test the battery life of laptops by playing a locally stored 720p video file (the open-source Blender movie Tears of Steel, which opens in a new window) with the display brightness at 50% and the audio volume at 100%. Before the test, we make sure the battery is fully charged and turn off Wi-Fi and keyboard backlighting.
We also use a Datacolor SpyderX Elite monitor calibration sensor and its Windows software to measure a laptop screen’s colour saturation (what percentage of the sRGB, Adobe RGB, and DCI-P3 colour gamuts or palettes it can show) and its 50% and peak brightness in nits.
Dell Precision 7560 review: Price and availability
Dell might be upset that we said the Precision 7560 starts at $2,449, even though you can buy one for $1,919, but that model has Intel graphics built in, so we don’t consider it a workstation. (Not that our eyes could focus on its dim 220-nit display.) The “real” base model has a Core i5 CPU with six cores, Nvidia T1200 graphics, and a 1080p screen that is brighter.
Final Words
These are the problems with the Dell 7560 and why you shouldn’t buy one. But we our still happy with what we bought. The laptop weighs 2 kg, which is a little heavy but fine. It looks really nice.
It is 15 inches tall. Aside from that, we bought this computer to edit videos, not to play games, and it works well for that. If you want a gaming laptop, think about the new Dell Inspiron 7567 with the Nvidia 1050TI card.
