Asus ROG Flow Z13 ACRNM review 2024: accuracy are fantastic

The Asus ROG Flow Z13 ACRNM is a gaming setup with an RTX 4070 graphics card that you can technically wear. How did we arrive at this peculiar point where fashion and technology are converging? It’s all Errolson Hugh’s fault. Acronym is a cool streetwear brand that has been worn by famous people including Drake, Travis Scott, and John Mayer. He is a well-known fashion designer who helped start the company. And for good reason — to buy anything from Acronym, you would need the kind of money that celebrities have.

Hugh was asked to put his own stank on the ROG Flow Z13 by Asus, and the end result is a laptop that appears to be fit for an adventure rock climbing. I can’t help but poke fun at the strange-looking laptop, but the fact that its straps actually serve a purpose is a pleasant surprise. The 13-inch laptop has the ability to switch between a shoulder bag, a crossbody bag, and a briefcase configuration.

Asus ROG Flow Z13 ACRNM: Noise and Connectivity

The 2023 Flow Z13’s cooling module is a vapor-chamber design with two fans and two radiators. Both the CPU and the GPU are cooled with liquid metal thermal compound. The tablet shape makes it easy for air to flow freely into the fans and for hot air to be pushed up and away from the user. All of these things add up to the good thermal results shown in the last section. The i9 and 4070 have outstanding paper specs, in practice they are merely the more efficient mid-range components. There isn’t much of a difference in power consumption between the H-series i9 and the 4070, with the latter benefiting from ROG’s 15-watt dynamic boost. However, the CPU and GPU power consumption will dynamically adjust to the current workload and performance mode.

Final Words

Although its novel form may appeal to some, we find that its added heft and weight do not make up for any perceived gains in usability. In reality, we prefer the ordinary Flow Z13 models because they are less complicated and have superior keyboards to this one.

However, unlike the regular Z13, this ACRNM version adds a few more functions that some users may appreciate. The ACRNM series is the only place to get 32 GB of RAM from Asus in this configuration.
