The Photon Mono M5s is a medium-sized resin printer that comes in the standard black and gold colours of Anycubic. It has a base with straight lines and a prism-shaped hood. It feels strong and sturdy, with a nice metal vat and two wheels on the z to keep it moving steadily. The M5s is a “smart” printer that can help you in a number of ways. Besides having a self-leveling print bed, it can also tell how much glue is in the vat and if a print failed. When you turn it on, it also does a hardware check and keeps track of how many models and layers you’ve made. Automatic Build Platform Leveling
Because the build platform, LCD screen, and resin vat film all need to be absolutely flat in order for the offset to be the same everywhere, inexperienced users could find it challenging to level the platform on which the build takes place. The 12K resolution for miniatures is the main attraction of the Anycubic Photon Mono M5s. Please don’t misunderstand me; the quality is superb. Even while printing at the recommended settings, everything appeared sharp, and the miniatures we printed turned out far more detailed than they had on the (amazing) 8K Anycubic Photon Mono M3. The self-leveling feature, though, was the one that most impressed me.
This is a huge help for someone like me, who is just getting started with 3D printing. For most printers we test, we spend more time than I’d like attempting to get the levelling just right, as this is the most common cause of unsuccessful prints (where your model won’t stick to the build plate). Here, though, we need not be concerned; the machine handles everything. It’s like magic, really. In fact, I doubt I would be able to return at this point.
