I was sent the DJI Pocket 2 to review, and right away I knew it was the camera I had been looking for a long time. A small video camera that is still comfortable to hold. In addition, they blend what a small stabilised action cam and a gimbal with a camera can do. There is more that is better. Things are better when they are bigger. It is better to go faster. Or at least that’s what we like to think. I have a different view. For me, more doesn’t always mean better because it means carrying more weight. Larger isn’t always better for the same reason, or it won’t fit in my rucksack. Furthermore, going faster isn’t always better, since going too fast can kill you.
I usually believe that less is more. Less heavy and bigger, so it’s easier to carry. Compared to the first DJI Pocket, this one has a 1/1.7-inch CMOS sensor that is bigger and a 64-megapixel photo mode. It can record video in 4K (3840×2160) at 60 frames per second. Additionally, it captures 2.7K (2720×1530) and Full HD (1920×1080) video. It also has a wider ISO range, going from 100 ISO to 6400 ISO for shooting in low light. Even though the Pocket 2 is already charged, I always charge things a few times before I start rating them. There is a slight delay while the iMac charges the DJI Pocket 2. A 10 Watt charger, according to DJI, should do it in 73 minutes. Most iPhone chargers put out 5W, while an iMac’s USB-C port puts out 15W.
[content-egg-block template=offers_logo hide=price]I find that the sound quality that is recorded by little cameras is not very good, which is one of the things that I despise the most about them. I have a complete Rode gear that enables me to get good sound from my GoPro footage, despite the fact that my older GoPros are a complete mess. Due to the fact that I have read previous evaluations, I am aware that the new GoPro9 is superior. This is the Sennheiser model that I use on my GH5 microphone. Honestly, I am very amazed. It is possible to use any of the recordings that I made outside without the additional stand-alone microphone so long as the Pocket 2 is in close proximity to the source of the sound sources. The control of the wind is really effective. The Pocket 2 comprises four microphones, and by default, all four of them are utilised.

Where to Get DJI Pocket 2 Creator Combo?
I shot 55 minutes in 4K. However, I would not rely only on this statistic as I have tested it outdoors at 6°C, as batteries perform poorly in cold weather. Because of this, I can easily connect the DJI to a battery bank for increased power while shooting. DJI advises against filming and charging simultaneously since the battery may overheat. This was not experienced due to the temperature being around 6 degrees. DJI reports 140 minutes of battery life at 1080P and 24 fps in a heated lab. The image is bright, crisp, and stable, and the D-Cinelike colour profile allows me full post-editing control. My small hands fit the Pocket 2 well, and all the buttons work nicely. If you have large hands…
Touchscreen works great. The same goes when connecting my smartphone to Pocket 2. This is a match made in heaven, remote or physical. I make shots I couldn’t previously. The DJI Wireless Microphone sounds amazing, as does the inbuilt sound. The DJI Pocket 2 is tough in my outdoor life, and I don’t have to worry about it in my pocket or backpack when still in its case.
