The circumaural (over-ear) earcups come in matte black, matte white, or black-and-rose-gold. They are rounded hexagons with a lot of memory foam that fully seals off the ear. This also quietly blocks out some of the noise in the room. The underside of the headband is also nicely cushioned, and the fit is quite safe and comfortable all around. The earcups are connected to the headband by cloth-wrapped wires, and the upper earcup plates are held in place by tiny screws.
Each plate has three holes in the shape of a “V,” and the whole thing looks both new and old at the same time. Each earcup’s outer panel can also be taken off and changed with a different material. Aluminum or fiber are included in the base price, but you can choose which one you want when you buy the headphones. You can choose to have a monogram or a V-Moda design engraved on them, or you can share your own artwork. Whatever you choose will be 3D-printed or laser-engraved on the surface at no extra cost.

Where to get V-MODA Crossfade 2 headphones?
On the right earcup, there is a power/pairing switch near the bottom of the outer panel. Up top, there is a multipurpose button and plus and minus volume buttons. The multifunction button controls playing, calls, and track navigation when you tap it more than once. All of these features work fine, but it can be hard to tap the multifunction button more than once to move between tracks because the button is a little stiff.
The micro-USB cord that comes with the headphones plugs into a port on the bottom of the left earcup. A cloth-wrapped audio wire plugs into a jack on the bottom of the right earcup. It has an in-line microphone near the chin and a single-button remote control near the chest. The remote can control playback, call management, and track navigation, but not volume. The cable lets you use the headphones without using the battery. When you connect them, the paired Bluetooth link is turned off and the battery is turned off. If you unplug the cable, the headphones will instantly re-pair. This is a nice feature, but if you think the headphones are off, you should be careful because unplugging the cable turns them back on.
