The RTX 4060 is one of the first to be put in the G5. It works much better than the older RTX 3060 and sometimes even better than the more expensive and powerful RTX 3070, which is pretty amazing. It also works with Frame Generation, a brand-new, cutting-edge graphics feature made possible by Nvidia’s Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) AI technology. However, it’s only working with a few games right now. Frame Generation added an extra 25 to 30 frames per second during testing. This can make the difference between a game being playable but not great and being buttery smooth. It is wonderful. Everything on the G5 is black, which makes it look subtle and simple.
Other than the small Gigabyte logo on the back and the lightly textured pattern on one corner of the lid, this laptop’s closed state is completely hidden. There are also triangle-shaped ventilation holes on the back and sides. The keyboard and screen have thin bezels around them when you open it, which is another nice touch. It didn’t look weird on me when I wore it to work in a coffee shop. Even though it’s not the lightest or smallest laptop, the thin edges make it pretty small, and it fits nicely in my small backpack. It helps that the 150W charging brick is so small that I was afraid it wouldn’t be able to keep up with the needs of the laptop’s parts just by looking at it (but it did).

Where to Get GIGABYTE G6 KF?
Gigabyte doesn’t usually ship new products with extra program, and the new Gigabyte G5 is no different. It only comes with the Control Centre app, which lets you switch between performance modes, control the fan, set up keyboard macros, and change the RGB lighting on the keyboard. It’s a simple system that is hard to understand at first because it doesn’t explain itself well. The RTX 4060 in the laptop is great. With the best settings, it sped through every game I put it through with smooth, steady frame rates. Forza Horizon 5, which is a very demanding game, had an in-game benchmark that ran at an average FPS of 81. This is about what you can expect from some laptops that have RTX 3070s. That was the same thing I got while moving around the game, and I never saw any slowdown.
With less demanding games, frame rates should be close to or above 100, and the G5’s 144Hz refresh rate can handle all of them. I played Overwatch 2 a lot, and even in the busiest firefights, I never saw any stuttering, screen tearing, slowdown, or input delay. That’s the last generation of the i5 CPU. This laptop doesn’t have a PCMark 10 Benchmark score of more than 6000, so it’s not great for heavy multitasking or video editing. But it’s fine for this price, and the CPU is fast enough that it doesn’t slow down the RTX 4060, which is what matters most when you’re gaming.
