The Hero9 has a new chassis that is a little bit larger than the previous generation, but it’s still one of the smallest 4K cameras available, and it’s certainly the smallest we’ve seen with support for 5K recording, at just 2.8 by 2.2 by 1.3 inches (HWD) and 5.6 ounces. The Hero9 also features a new processor that is a little bit faster than the previous version. The larger frame has a larger battery as well as a larger back touch LCD that measures 2.3 inches. Additionally, just like the competitor DJI Osmo Action, the larger frame houses a color display on the front of the device.
This allows you to maintain your framing fixed when shooting selfie photos for vlogs and other similar purposes. The camera is rugged and can withstand submersion in water. It can be immersed to a depth of 33 feet without the need for a protective casing, and its shell is tough enough to resist spills and tumbles without causing undue concern.
[content-egg-block template=offers_logo hide=price]The back is composed entirely of a screen, albeit with the typical amount of bezel. The perspective is slightly more expansive than what you get with the Hero8, but this does not constitute a revolutionary advancement; rather, it is only an effective utilization of the available area. The UI has not been altered from that of the Hero8; you still have quick access to a number of adjustable video presets, which is a benefit given the extensive amount of options for quality and frame rate.

Where to get GoPro HERO9 Black Action Kit?
The GoPro Hero 9 Black is the most capable and adaptable action camera that money can buy, yet its predecessor, the Hero 8, delivers a superior value to the vast majority of consumers. The additional sensor and front display are both useful upgrades, but collectively, the changes do not constitute a significant improvement over the Hero 8 Black. Even though a software update is currently being developed, the touchscreen on this device sometimes has a delayed response, which can be a little aggravating.
There is no other action that can equal the skillset of the Hero 9 Black, although other actions currently have a higher value than it does. You do have the option of shooting in raw, which will allow you to bring out some of the shadow detail, but the amount of wiggle room you have with a sensor of this size is very limited. The inability to zoom in makes the Hero 9 Black less of a viable alternative to your smartphone‘s camera and more of an emergency waterproof backup for your smartphone’s still photos.
