The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 is a powerful laptop that boasts a stunning display, an excellent keyboard, and a chassis that is decked out in eye-catching RGB lighting. However, its competitors typically feature designs that are more streamlined and small, better connection, and more screen options. If you want an adventurous gaming machine, this is a decent laptop to choose, but there are other machines that are more experienced.
That level of connectivity should be sufficient for the majority of players, but it could be improved. The two full-size USB ports that are still present on the Scar 15 are quite close to one another, so if you attach a larger accessory to one of them, it will block the other one. Earlier editions of the Scar 15 included one extra full-size USB port. Keep in mind that this portable device is geared towards gaming, thus it does not have a webcam, card reader, or the capacity to scan biometric information. It still has a notch for the Asus Keystone and the RFID hookups that it has, but this feels more like a gimmick and a waste of space than anything else.

Where to get ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15?
Our test device arrived with a Core i9 12900H that was nearly as powerful as the most advanced models available. It had a total of 14 cores, 20 threads, and a frequency of 5 GHz even when it was overclocked. The graphics processing unit (GPU) isn’t quite as loud as it was before, but the RTX 3070 Ti is still closer to the front of the pack than it is to the middle.
All of this is supported by 32 gigabytes of DDR5 memory operating at 4800 megahertz and a 1 terabyte PCIe 4.0 solid state drive. But enough with the chitchat: let’s get down to business and look at the figures. Only the MSI GE76 Raider, which comes equipped with a processor that is identical to that of the Scar as well as a graphics card that is more powerful than the 3080 Ti, is capable of beating the Scar on the CPU-intensive Cinebench R20 test.
A very excellent performance. The Scar is equipped with an RTX 3070 Ti that provides a total of 150 watts of graphical power. It is not the most amazing discrete GPU available for laptops on the market, nor is it the most unlocked in terms of total power, but it is still near the top of the charts nevertheless. (The same model can be equipped with up to a 3080 Ti or down to a 3060).
