This article we will show you how to Delete History and Activity Data on Google Bard. Google AI’s Google Bard is a big language model. It can make up text, translate languages, connect to the internet, write creative content, answer your questions, and have conversations with you. It is said that Google plans to add Bard to Search in the future. It’s a lot like ChatGPT, but it’s also not quite the same. Like ChatGPT, you can tell Bard what to do or ask it questions to get it to answer. But unlike ChatGPT, Bard doesn’t let you see and access all of your past conversations.
Google Bard does, however, save the questions you answer, the results you get, and the feedback you give to your Google account. Google just put out a big update for Bard that added a lot of new features, like the ability to use local languages, integration with Google Lens, a list of recent chats, and more. Google saves your chats to make Bard better, and the user is told that human reviewers may look at them to improve the experience.
The ability to continue recent chats is especially interesting. Google also tells Bard users not to share private or sensitive information. To be safe, we recommend that you delete your Google Bard chat history and turn off all Bard activity. You don’t want anyone to read what you say to Bard in private, right? So, read our guide to find out how to Delete History and Activity Data on Google Bard.
What is Google Bard?
Google Bard is an AI-powered chatbot tool that uses natural language processing and machine learning to mimic how people talk. Bard can be added to websites, messaging platforms, or apps so that users can get answers to their questions in natural language that sound like they came from Google. Pathways Language Model 2 (PaLM 2), a language model that came out in late 2022, is what Google Bard is built on.
Both PaLM and the model that came before it, Google’s Language Model for Dialogue Applications (LaMDA), are based on Google’s 2017 neural network architecture called Transformer. Because Google made Transformer open source, it has become the basis for other generative AI tools, like the GPT-3 language model used in ChatGPT.
Bard is made with search in mind. It aims to let people search using more natural language queries instead of just keywords. Bard’s AI is trained to ask and answer questions in a way that sounds natural in a conversation. Instead of just giving a list of answers, it gives the answers some background information. It’s also meant to help with follow-up questions, giving you something new to look up.

Conclusion
We’ve all been there – having a quick chat with Google Bard, asking it to perform tasks, answer questions, or even just to entertain us with a joke or two. But did you know that all these conversations are stored by Google? While this data is used to improve the Bard service, it can sometimes feel a little uncomfortable knowing that your chat history is being saved.
Questions and Answers
Even if you turn off Bard Activity, your conversations will still be saved for up to 72 hours. This lets Google offer the service and deal with any comments. This activity won’t show up in your list of Bard Activities.
If you want to play Bard without being seen, you can turn this off completely. If not, you can turn on Auto-delete and choose between 3, 18, and 36 months for how long your history is saved. There is also a “Delete” button that lets you erase recent Bard history within a certain time frame.
Click the three vertical dots () at the top right of the screen in a Chrome browser. Click Settings in the drop-down menu. Scroll down to Privacy and security and click Clear browsing history. From the drop-down list of time ranges, choose “All time.”
When I asked Bard, “Which tool protects your privacy more?” he said, “Google Bard protects your privacy more than ChatGPT because it doesn’t collect or store any personal information about its users.” This means that Google Bard can’t keep track of what you do online or use your information for advertising.
