Prime Day 2023 will start on Tuesday, July 11, and last for 48 hours. Only Prime users will be able to get deals during that time. This event, which started in July 2015 to mark Amazon’s 20th anniversary and is now held every July for Prime users, was created to mark Amazon’s anniversary.
I’ve been a big fan of Prime Day since it started, but I have to say that after nine years, the event has lost some of its shine. There will definitely be great deals on famous brands like Bose, Apple, LG, Ninja, and more. However, some deals, like those on Echo Dot devices, can get a little old after a while. In an effort to give readers more value, my focus this year will be on showing deals for items that we have personally tested, that I own, or that the compsmag team highly recommends.
[content-egg-block template=offers_logo hide=price]Rest assured that even though there are a lot of options, we will bring you the best deals and show you goods that will really improve your life. We don’t want you to be overwhelmed by too many things you don’t need, so we try to find deals that are really worth your time. So stay tuned as we dig into Prime Day 2023 and find the hidden gems that will make your shopping experience even better.
How to Prepare for Amazon Prime Day
You can do a few things to get ready for Amazon Prime Day and get the most out of this once-a-year shopping event. First, make sure that your membership to Amazon Prime is still valid. Prime Day is only for Prime users, so make sure you’re signed up or think about getting a free trial if you’re not already. Next, make a list of the things that interest you. Spend some time looking through the different sections and adding items to your list. This will help you stay organized and on task during the event, so you can quickly find and buy the things you want when the deals start.
It’s also important to make a budget. On Prime Day, there are so many deals that it’s easy to get carried away and spend too much. Set a budget for how much you’re ready to spend and stick to it so you won’t be sorry after you shop. Keep an eye out for deals and sales that start before Prime Day. Amazon often gives discounts before an event to get people excited about it.
Also, sign up for Amazon’s newsletters and follow them on social media to find out about special deals and offers. Last, be ready to move quickly. Prime Day deals tend to sell out quickly, so be ready to add things to your cart and check out quickly when the event starts. Saving your payment and shipping information on your Amazon account can make it easier to buy things and give you a better chance of getting what you want.

Amazon Echo Show 10 (3rd Gen): (Save $87)
Most smart displays are screens that stay in one place. They have mics and speakers, so you can talk to them and they will talk back, but other than that, they don’t do anything. Their screens face one way, and you have to move them yourself if you want them to face somewhere else. That isn’t the case with the third-generation $249.99 Amazon Echo Show 10, which has a motorized base that lets its 10.1-inch screen spin to face you, wherever you are in the room. It’s a surprising improvement in usefulness because you no longer have to stay in one place to see the screen or make a video call. It costs a lot more than the $129.99 Echo Show 8, but you get a bigger screen and louder sound.
Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 Convertible Laptop: (Save $61)
The Acer Spin 3 is an affordable 2-in-1 laptop that competes favorably with other devices in its category. It’s well built and looks nice, it packs a convertible touchscreen with Wacom AES pen support, good IO on the sides, modern hardware and a pretty large battery. In addition to that, the cost is reasonable.
The typing experience is poor, the screen is dim and washed out, and especially the fact that you’ll get better value with other types of notebooks out there, such as mid-tier clamshell laptops, 2-in-1 Chromebooks, or previous generation higher-tier convertibles. Nevertheless, it is difficult to recommend this in 2020, for these three main reasons: poor typing experience, dim and washed out screen, and especially the fact that you’ll get better value with other types of notebooks out there.
Apple iPad Mini (6th Generation): (save $119)
The iPad mini (6th Gen) is a great tool for making art. It’s powerful enough to do fairly complex artistic work, but small enough to fit in a coat pocket. Upgrades including a bigger screen and Apple Pencil 2 support only confirm its place as a portable powerhouse. Some people will find the screen too small, but it’s the best way to make sure you never miss an opportunity to make something, no matter where you are.
It doesn’t weigh much, so it’s a computer you can carry around in your bag without feeling too heavy. When you get an idea for drawing, making music, taking photos, making podcasts, drawing, or whatever else, you can use it right away.
Apple Watch Series 8: (Save $119)
All of the changes that make the Apple Watch Series 8 better than the Apple Watch Series 7 are on the inside. The watch has a skin temperature monitor and a long-awaited low power mode that can extend the battery life of the latest Apple Watch to 36 hours. The Apple Watch 8 also has a new feature that can help you get help right away if you have a crash. It does this by using better motion sensors to find out what happened.
Keeping the starting price at $399 and adding the Apple Watch SE (2022), which is less expensive, rounds out Apple’s smartwatch line-up quite nicely. But should you get the newest and best Apple Watch? In this review of the Apple Watch Series 8, let’s go over what you need to know.
Google Pixel 7: (save $100)
The Google Pixel 7 is sold in 17 areas, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, and some European countries. With this phone, Google is making it available again in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands. It’s also the first time since the Pixel 4 that top Pixel phones are back on sale in India.
You can buy the Pixel 7 in the US at the Google Store, your favorite store, or your carrier. It can be used on any network in the US. mmWave 5G works on both unlocked phones and phones that are locked to Verizon or AT&T. The Pixel 7, on the other hand, doesn’t work with T-Mobile’s mmWave network. Here, you can only get the super-fast speeds that mmWave 5G promises with the Pixel 7 Pro.
Apple MacBook Air M1: (Save $249)
The M1 processor and 16GB of RAM in the MacBook Air give it a great speed. When I split its screen between 20 Chrome (Intel, not Universal) tabs and a 1080p YouTube movie, along with Apple’s Mail and Photos app, Pixelmator (also an Intel app), and 1Password (also an Intel app), I never saw anything close to a hiccup. Oh, and 20GB of 4K video was being sent through AirDrop in the background while everything stayed smooth and stable.
On the Geekbench 5.1 (Intel) multicore test, the Air got a score of 5,962, which was almost the same as the M1 MacBook Pro’s score of 5,925. The Air soundly beat the 5,084 from the ZenBook 13 and the 5,319 from the XPS 13 (both tried with the Intel Core i7-1165G7 CPU and 16GB of RAM), on the comparable Geekbench 5.2 test. The old Intel Y-series CPU for the MacBook Air could only reach a score of 2,738.
Echo Dot (5th Gen) with bulb: (Save $44)
Amazon usually takes small steps to improve its Echo smart speakers instead of big ones, but sometimes small steps are all that’s needed. The new Echo Dot, which costs $49.99, doesn’t sound much different from the old one, but it now has motion sensors that let you interact with it by tapping. It’s a smart speaker that can do a lot of things, but for $10 more, you can get the Echo Dot with Clock, which has a useful LED display and all the same features as the Echo Dot.
Amazon has changed the speaker driver inside the device, but not by much. It’s a little bit bigger than the driver in the fourth-generation Echo Dot, which was 1.6 inches across. Even though the current speaker has a bigger membrane, it is an ounce and a half lighter, at 10.7 ounces. Since this isn’t a portable speaker and is meant to stay in one place, the weight decrease doesn’t make much of a difference in everyday use.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra: (Save $300)
Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Ultra was, and still is, a very capable smartphone. But more than anything else, it was about combining the Note and Galaxy lines. We finally had a Galaxy S series phone with a good camera and a well-integrated S Pen. It was the best smartphone that Samsung had ever made.
This year, Samsung didn’t completely change the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Instead, they made a device that is similar to the Galaxy S22 Ultra but has a few new features. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has a brand-new main camera sensor for better photos and a customized Qualcomm SoC for (hopefully) better speed. But fans will have to pay more for all of this, which I’m sure they won’t mind doing.
Bose QuietComfort 45 headphones: (Save $100)
Most people think of Bose headphones when they think of active noise cancellation (ANC) headphones. For a long time, its products were some of the most famous on the market. They were known for how well they worked and how easy they were to use. The Bose Noise Canceling Headphones 700 have been out for two years, and the first QuietComfort 35 came out five years ago. Does the Bose QuietComfort 45 need a new headset? We used the Bose QC 45 for a week to find out everything you need to know before getting it.
Bose’s ANC headphones are a bit of a classic, and that’s because they’re very good at making most people feel comfortable and making them easy to use. The Bose QuietComfort 45 is no different. The QC 45 looks almost exactly like its predecessors, which is a good thing because you won’t be surprised by anything big.
Dyson V8 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner: (Save $120)
The Dyson V8 is a powerful alternative for consumers who are looking for a Dyson vacuum but are on a budget. It is priced between the Omni-Glide and the Cyclone V15 handstick, which is significantly more expensive. Even though it was introduced to the market all the way back in 2016, it continues to provide excellent performance, including strong suction and a battery life of 40 minutes when set to its default mode. Although there are cheaper options available in this category, the Dyson V8 is a portable, high-performance dust buster that, in most homes, can serve as an adequate replacement for the conventional corded vacuum cleaner.
iRobot Roomba i3 EVO Robot Vacuum: (Save $101)
The Roomba i3 EVO is a powerful robot vacuum that works well on all floor types. It works best on hard floors like wood. It doesn’t work as well on soft floors, but it does its job well enough for now. When it comes to avoiding obstacles, the Roomba i3 EVO doesn’t do as well as its bigger brothers, like the Roomba J7.
He has a harder time with loose wires, but he can see walls and furniture well. It’s very easy to use the robot vacuum cleaner. The app is clear and works well. What about a smart speaker? Then you can even tell it what to do with your words. The robot vacuum cleaner is easy and simple to clean and empty.
ASUS Vivobook Go 15: (Save $13)
With this design, simplicity is king, and it can be seen in just about every aspect. It is a regular 15-inch system with a straightforward design; it won’t grab anyone’s attention, but it is ideal for remaining unnoticed. The VivoBook 15’s color isn’t too adventurous either, sporting a grey paint job, but it’s not boring thanks to a speckled metallic look.
The dimensions of the system in terms of portability are 0.78 inches (HWD), 14.1 inches (W), and 9.1 inches (HWD), and it weighs 3.75 pounds. That is not anywhere close to being considered lightweight, but it is still a long way from being heavy, and it ought still be able to fit in your bag or backpack with very little difficulty. The chassis is built of plastic and has a generally reliable feel to it. There is some flex if you press around the keyboard or the lid, but it is nothing that should be apparent or worrying in typical use. The texture does not have a particularly cheap feel to it, and there is some flex there as well.
Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 (2022): (Save $720)
Simplicity reigns with this design, in just about every part. It’s a regular 15-inch machine with a simple design. It won’t turn heads, but it’s great for fitting in. The VivoBook 15 has a dark paint job, which isn’t very exciting, but it’s not boring because it has a flecked metallic look.
The system is portable because it is 0.78 inches tall, 14.1 inches wide, and 9.1 inches deep, and it weighs 3.75 pounds. That’s not very light, but it’s still not very heavy, and you should be able to put it in your bag or backpack without much trouble. The body is mostly solid and made of plastic. The texture doesn’t feel too cheap, and the keyboard and lid bend a little when you push on them, but not enough to be visible or cause worry.
Amazon Fire 7 Kids tablet with Kids Headset: (Save $65.00)
To sum up, you get the same slow 2GHz MediaTek MT8168 chip, 2GB of RAM, and either 16GB ($109.99) or 32GB ($129.99) of storage. Amazon says that the new model is 30% faster than the 2019 version. In our tests, we did notice a speed difference, but it’s still not as fast as many other models. The 1,024-by-600-pixel screen on the tablet is still not very impressive, and it can be hard to see in bright light.
The two 2MP cameras on the front and back aren’t very good either, but they work fine for video talks. On the bright side, the battery life is much better now. In our battery test, which consisted of continuously streaming a YouTube movie over Wi-Fi, the Fire 7 Tablet lasted an impressive 9 hours and 30 minutes, which is 2 1/2 hours longer than the previous model.
OnePlus 10T: (save $200)
OnePlus 10T 5G excels in price, specs, and performance. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC with little spec compromises. Given that it competes with flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S22 series and the OnePlus 10 Pro, its starting price of Rs. 49,999 in India is reasonable. If you’re comfortable with an older OnePlus phone and want a performance and feature update, the 10T 5G may disappoint.
Like iPhones and BlackBerrys, the slider enables you rapidly alter alert profiles. I rarely use my phone, therefore I don’t miss it. OnePlus claims the removal was necessary to create place for improved antennas and 150W charging circuitry, although a surface-mount switch is tiny. The business admits this is a divisive decision and argues the slider isn’t dead.
Vizio V-Series sound bar: (save $40)
The Vizio V Series V51-H6 is a 5.1 setup that came out in 2020 and is easy on the wallet. It has a pretty balanced sound profile that lets you listen to a lot of different kinds of music, and the bass is a little more booming. With its dedicated subwoofer, it can accurately reproduce the deep thump and rumble of the bass range, and its two satellite speakers help create a pretty immersive surround performance.
It doesn’t work with Dolby Atmos material, though. The Vizio V51-H6 is a soundbar that is easy and stylish. It’s mostly made of plastic, but the front and sides are covered with thin cloth. The Vizio V51-H6 comes with two satellite speakers. These speakers are mostly made of plastic, but the front and sides are covered with cloth.
Beats Studio3 over-ear headphones: (save $190)
Smooth, soft plastic is used to make the Beats Studio3 Wireless headphones. They don’t get as many fingerprints as you might think, and the soft ear cups are a nice touch. Even though the leatherette gets hot after a few hours, I can wear these for hours before my ears start to hurt. The cap is not the same, though. It is made of hard, sticky plastic that pulls on my hair.
You can quickly fold the headphones up to take them with you, and the base can be moved. The Studio3 Wireless feel stiff, and you can feel the headphones stain when you try to twist them a little bit. They come with a hardshell case, which is what I suggest you use if you decide to buy them.
LG C2 Series 65-inch Class OLED evo Smart TV: (save $413)
The LG C2 OLED is the follow-up to the very famous LG C1 OLED. It is a mid-range OLED TV that sits between the LG B2 OLED and the LG G2 OLED “Gallery Style.” LG’s ‘C’ models are usually the most popular OLED TVs because they have a good mix of high-end features and price and, unlike the LG G2, come with a stand. Self-emissive OLED TVs like the C2 don’t need a backlight like LCD TVs, so they can show a nearly perfect contrast ratio in dark areas, with deep blacks and no blooming or haloing around bright objects.
Like other LG TVs, the C2 has a smart interface called webOS. This interface has been slightly updated for 2022 by adding user accounts and making a few other small changes. This year, there is a big focus on gaming features, such as support for GeForce Now, and it comes in more sizes than previous models, including the first ever 42-inch OLED screen.
Samsung Galaxy Buds 2: (save $60)
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 are very similar to the Galaxy Buds Pro in terms of features. Like the Galaxy Buds Pro, they have active noise cancellation, can be customized through an app, and can be charged via Qi wireless charging as well as USB Type-C fast charging. The earphones use Bluetooth 5.2 to link to other devices. They also support the SBC, AAC, and Scalable Bluetooth codecs. Each earpiece has a woofer and a tweeter, which are both dynamic drivers.
The Galaxy Buds 2 can be used with Android phones that have the Galaxy Wearable app. This is where you can change the settings for the ANC and Ambient Sound modes, customize the touch controls, change the equalizer settings, and change a few other things, like whether or not messages are read out loud. You can test how well the earbuds fit and decide whether or not to use the Ambient Sound mode while on a call.
Samsung Jet 60 Flex Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner: (save $101)
The Samsung Jet 60 works well on floors with no carpet. On this type of surface, it has no problem picking up small pieces of dirt and pet hair. However, pet hair can get caught in its brushroll. It also has a harder time with bigger pieces of trash. Still, its light weight makes it easy to move around in tight areas, and its design makes it easy to keep up with few ongoing costs.
Even though this new floorhead is smaller and lighter than the Turbo Action floorhead that comes with more expensive models, it has a harder time picking up bigger pieces of dirt and pet hair tends to get caught in its brushroll more easily. The Jet 60 also doesn’t have the small status display that you can find on more expensive models. This display tells you what mode the vacuum is in and if there are any blockages or other technical problems.
Garmin Vivoactive smartwatch: (save $160)
The Vivoactive 4 is much bigger than the Vivoactive 3. But if you want a slim watch, just buy a Vivoactive 4S. It has the same features, but its screen and battery are a bit smaller.
This watch is easy to wear, but the Forerunner 645 is still a little bit better. The rubber band that comes with the Vivoactive 4 is thicker and has less “give” than the band that comes with the Forerunner. The smaller and lighter a watch is, the less likely it is that you will notice it after a few hours. We usually take the Vivoactive 4 off every day for a few hours. Only if you tie the strap really tight do you get marks on your wrist that look angry.
Google Pixel Watch: (save $100)
Google released their first smartwatch to the public. The wearable device is a dome form and runs the most recent version of Google’s Wear OS. However, the device’s connectivity with Fitbit stands out the most. The Pixel Watch, billed as “the best Fitbit experience money can buy,” is the natural conclusion of Google’s $2.1 billion 2019 purchase of the fitness business.
Roku Express 4K+ Streaming Player: (save $13)
The Roku Express 4K Plus demonstrates that 4K streaming does not need to be prohibitively expensive. Or at the very least, Roku is becoming better at reimagining its existing catalog of content. The Roku Express 4K Plus is an upgraded version of the Roku Express, which is a streamer that costs $30 and has a resolution of 1080p. However, it adds the ability to stream in 4K, which was previously only available on the Roku Premiere, which it replaces as Roku’s $40 streamer.
Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet: (save $45)
Amazon’s smaller Fire tablets are well-liked for being lightweight and simple to use, but they come at a lower price and slower speed than the competition. If you type “why are Fire tablets” into Google’s auto-complete feature, you’ll find some unflattering suggestions. Not that this discredits the usefulness of the pills in question. For some tasks, tablets like the Amazon Fire HD 10 are ideal, making it a top choice among Android tablets. However, Amazon’s Fire tablet lineup falls short of its promise.
Ring Video Doorbell: (save $45)
Ring is a brand that has likely entered your thoughts if you’ve given any thought to installing a video doorbell to increase your home’s security. Amazon’s home security brand has been growing in popularity and is now widely considered to be among the industry’s finest video doorbells. Google Nest doorbells and Arlo doorbell cameras are two excellent alternatives to the market-leading brand of video doorbells, but many consumers still choose those from the more established company.
Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition: (save $100)
Even though it has a fancy name, the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition is a simple tool. It’s the same as the new, fifth-generation Kindle Paperwhite, but it costs $50 more and has four improvements: 32GB of memory (up from 8GB), wireless charging, a front light that automatically adjusts, and no ads. Since we already know that the new Paperwhite is a great e-reader, this review has a simple goal: to find out if these four new features are worth the extra money.
Instant Pot Duo Plus 9-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker: (save $60)
The Instant Pot DUO Plus 9-in-1 makes selecting your chosen cooking mode simple with dedicated controls for each of its cooking presets. The time and temperature can be easily adjusted using the plus and minus buttons. To be picky, we preferred the dials on the Breville Fast Slow Pro to these buttons, but other than that, we had no complaints about the user interface of the Instant Pot DUO Plus 9-in-1. Particularly convenient is the big LCD screen, which shows information clearly and concisely.
Kindle Oasis Essentials Bundle: (save $135)
Includes the newest Kindle Oasis with Special Offers, 32 GB, Wi-Fi, Graphite, Amazon Fabric Cover (Charcoal Black), and Power Adapter. Our best 7-inch, 300ppi Paperwhite display with a flat front. The warm light can be changed so that the screen goes from white to yellow. You can read in the bath or by the pool because it is waterproof (IPX8). The form is thin and light, and there are buttons to turn the pages. Works with Audible; pair with bluetooth headphones or speakers to switch between reading and hearing without any interruptions.
Ring Stick Up Cam: (save $40)
Ring is probably best known for its line of Video Doorbells, but the company has also started making other kinds of security cams. You can put up security cameras around your house for as little as $60. These cameras will record any movement inside or outside your home. If you can’t run a power cord, you’ll have to pay a little more.
Its new Stick Up Cam is an interesting mid-range device that combines the low price of Ring’s Indoor Cameras with the freedom and weatherproofing of its more expensive Floodlight and Spotlight devices. But since you have to pay a high monthly fee, it’s not clear where the Stick Up Cam fits into Ring’s line of products.
Samsung 24-inch Odyssey gaming monitor: (save $100)
A 1ms response time to maximize your every action; Colors on the screen update almost instantly, simulating the fluidity of real-world action; You have reflexes on screen that match your own speed. playability that requires little effort; Screen tearing, stuttering, and input lag are all diminished with AMD FreeSync Premium’s adaptive sync technology. Every scene will play out smoothly thanks to the low frame rate correction.
