Even though Fitbit hasn’t been very consistent, every year they come out with a new Charge device. Since the first Fitbit Charge came out in 2014, the company has kept things pretty simple, with simple designs, monochrome displays, and a clear focus on fitness above all else. With the Fitbit Charge 5, all of that changed.
The Charge 5 is the first in the line to have a full-color AMOLED screen. It also has some smartwatch features from Fitbits that are bigger and cost more, like the Fitbit Sense. All of these upgrades do make the Charge 5 more expensive, making it by far the most expensive Charge so far.

Where to get Fitbit Charge 5 Smartwatch?
The Charge 5 still feels more like a bracelet than a watch because it has a slim body and a thin strap. It comes with two length options and more can be bought separately. Even easier than with the Apple Watch, straps can be changed by lifting a small clasp on each side of the chassis. But don’t worry, it will be fine on your wrist.
Fitbit has updated the Charge 5 with features that were promised at launch, such as the electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) app and the Daily Readiness Score. The Charge 5 is our Choice because it is a great fitness tracker, has a bright screen, lasts a long time on a single charge, and works with both Android and iOS.
The Fitbit Charge 5 can track 20 different types of workouts, which is a lot. However, the new Fitbit Sense 2 and Versa 4 can track up to 41 different types of workouts. Many other devices say they can track 100 or more, but these numbers are inflated by modes that all track heart rate and time the same way but have different names.
The menu on the Charge 5 can show up to five workout modes at once, which is enough for most people to save their favorites or most-used workouts. To change them, go to the Fitbit app on your phone, open the device’s settings, and make the changes there. You can also change the order in which the different types of workouts show up, making it easier to find your favorite. We found that the Charge 5 lasted about six days between charges with normal use and sleep tracking. However, if you keep the screen on all the time or use GPS a lot, the battery will die much faster.
