Most companies that make wireless speakers walk a thin line between standing out from the crowd and making sure their goods don’t stick out like a sore thumb in most homes. With the D12, Edifier has made a speaker that looks both well-made and more expensive than it is.
The Edifier D12 has a dark wooden box that makes it look like an old hi-fi system, but it doesn’t look too cheesy. On the front, there is a black cloth grille that can be removed to reveal a small LED light in the top right corner of the speaker. This light lets you know which input you’re using to play music; a blue light means you’re using Bluetooth, and a green light means you’re using an AUX cable.

Where to get Edifier D12 Tabletop Speaker?
If you take off the cover, you’ll find two 4-inch woofers, two 0.75-inch tweeters, and two ports that help the bass. The speaker’s top panel is made of black plastic that looks like leather. It has three control knobs: one for the bass, one for the high, and one for the volume. You can also turn the sound on and off by pressing the volume knob down.
We like that you can change the sound of the speaker by turning knobs. It’s more satisfying than using an app or pressing buttons. The Edifier D12 comes with a remote control that feels a little cheap but does the job. With it, you can turn the speaker on and off, change the volume, switch between different sound modes (we’ll talk more about those later), and switch between sources. The Edifier D12 has Bluetooth 5, which lets you play music from your phone or computer. It was easy to pair our iPhone 13 mini, and we didn’t have any annoying connection drops during our tests.
Around the back of the speaker are a number of physical inputs, including a 3.5mm AUX input, stereo RCA inputs, a 3.5mm line out, and a power wire. You get a 3.5mm RCA cord and an RCA-RCA audio cable in the box to connect the Edifier D12 to your music sources and your TV, respectively. (provided it has the necessary ports). This speaker doesn’t have optical or HDMI connections, so it doesn’t seem like it was made for home theater, but it’s nice to be able to use it to boost your TV’s sound.
