This week, Microsoft said that it is Change Location on Outlook Calendar for Windows. As of today, the Mail, Calendar, People, and To-Do apps are at the bottom of the folder pane in the Outlook window.
This will change next month when Outlook gets an update that moves these sections to the left navigation pane. Since March 2022, users in the Current Channel have been able to test this change as an opt-in experience. But the Outlook desktop app will soon no longer let you switch back to the old navigation bar.
“The Outlook team knows this is a big change for users, and it will take some time to get used to where Mail, Calendar, etc. are now. Because this new navigation experience replaces the old navigation experience and adds new features, there is no way to go back to the old navigation experience, the company said.
Steps to Change Location on Outlook Calendar
Outlook recently got a whole new user interface that is easier to use. But not everyone who uses Outlook has switched to the latest version. Because of this, we’ll show you how to change your location in both versions of Outlook Calendar.
- Log into your Outlook mail
- From there, select the button next to the Outlook label. The button you’re looking for looks like a square made of nine dots. After you’ve clicked the button, a new popup window will appear. It will show you the list of apps from the Office 365 package that you can use.
- If you can’t find the Outlook Calendar app on the list, select All Apps. If Outlook Calendar is on the list, select it and jump to step number 5.
- Pick Calendar from the list of options. If you still can’t find the app, type Calendar into the search box at the top of the page and hit Enter. The main window of the Outlook Calendar app will open when you click on it.
- Double-click on the day when an Outlook Event is happening to change or add the location. This will open a new window where you can either add a new Event or change the one you already have. Fill in the information, then click “Save.”
