The Anker Life P3 is ideal for commuting and traveling. They can block out the bass-heavy rumble of bus and plane engines, as well as higher frequency sounds like chatter from other passengers, thanks to their adjustable ANC feature. They have a comfortable fit that is ideal for long days on the go, and their portable design allows them to easily fit into your pockets. They only last about five hours with the ANC on, but their case comes with some extra charges.
The stem-style earpieces for the P3 come in black, dark blue, light blue, red, and white. The in-ear fit is reasonably secure, but there’s plenty of room for the stems to hang at various angles, which can result in varying audio performance; for me, the best sound came from the stems pointing forward slightly. To help achieve the best fit, five pairs of silicone eartips in various sizes are included.

The earphones are Bluetooth 5.0 compatible and support AAC and SBC codecs, but not AptX. The clamshell charging case has three LEDs on the front below the lid and can charge wirelessly on Qi-compatible chargers, which is a rare feature in this price range. The case’s back features a USB-C port for the included USB-C-to-USB-A charging cable. On the inside of the case, there is a Bluetooth pairing button.
The Soundcore app for Android and iOS is a useful companion to Anker’s various wireless audio products. It has an eight-band EQ with several presets and toggles for a low-latency Gaming Mode. You can also customize the Ambient mode (which allows you to hear your surroundings while the earphones are still in your ears) and ANC settings (including Indoor, Outdoor, and Transport modes that target different frequencies of surrounding noise). In addition, the app provides firmware updates.
Anker estimates the Soundcore Life P3’s battery life to be around seven hours with ANC turned off or six hours with it turned on, with the case carrying an additional 35 hours (ANC turned off) or 30 hours (ANC on). Your results will also vary depending on the volume you use. The P3’s ANC is actually more effective than the AirPods at reducing low-frequency rumble, and similarly effective at reducing higher frequencies.
