Apple took the Control Center from iOS, created a Mac version, and introduced it to macOS 11 Big Sur. Its icon appears on the right side of the menu bar (it’s the stacked pair of power buttons next to Siri) and you get quick access to controls like network, screen brightness and volume.
If your menu bar is cluttered, you can use the Control Center to remove some items from the bar. For example, you can use the volume control center and then remove the item from the volume control menu bar. Control Center is automatically enabled when you install macOS Big Sur. You cannot disable it, and so far, the customization settings are limited. This article covers the settings that can be accessed from the Control Center and How to customize them. In the left column of the Dock settings window and menu bar, scroll down and select Accessibility Shortcuts.
